A lot of reflection on this card from the holographic card but this is the best I can do.....
A lady wanted a card with an old Movie star on but with flowers! Not that easy so this is what I have come up with.  Image I found on the net..backing papers are from Paper Cellar and I have used one of my new dies the Cheery Lynn Flourish leaf strip, Cuttlebug Wicker weave embossing folder used along the side..just added a 3 rose which aren't bright white but it all I had....hope she likes it!

We have sunshine and blue skies down here in Somerset this morning..hope you all have a good week end..

Westpoint haul

Just to say thank you for your lovely comments on yesterdays posting but you will probably notice the comments are'nt there...well after reading them I hit the wrong button and promptly deleted them!!  What a numpty...

Anyway had a great day at Westpoint, great company and  thought you might like to see my stash of goodies that I bought....more new dies, a few stamps, and some gold, silver and black embossing paste and a few more masks  to play with.  I also bought some glitter card, 6 x 6 cards which are in the picture. Considering I only had 4 items on my shopping list I didn't do too badly!!

Promise I wont delete any more of your lovely comments today..lOl...lOl.

Flora commented on the Britannia number dies that I bought, Rob Adams of CD fame is now producing his own dies and these are his, he also had some wording dies in 2 different sizes....

Under the Mistletoe....

Another LOTV image that Eileen and I coloured when trying out her Spectrum Noir pens....didn't have a red in her sest so used a Copic red to darken up the deepest pink.
Backing paper is from stash and has no name on it...Sizzix Dotty embossing folder used as well a a Mistletoe Die from Sizzix....
My verdict on the Spectrum Noir pens....I think we managed well on the two Sets we had but for me Copic's beat them hands down and  I prefer brush ends as opposed to bullet nibs.

Off down to the Craft Show Westpoint, nr Exeter today with friends...   not a lot on my list to buy but as always will come home with other goodies that I WANT!....will let you know tomorrow....

Under the Umbrella

Yesterday afternoon I spent with my friend Eileen playing with her new Spectrunm Noir pens, we had the two sets to work from the Lights and the Pastels...we had no red but used the darkest pink...apart from the flesh colours( we used pencils)  I think they worked very well.
Using one of the new LOTV Christmas images....backing papers were from a pad from DCWV called Rose Tinted Christmas...  Used a Martha Stewart holly punch and the sentiment is also from LOTV.
Just noticed the children are walking down hill...lOl...lOl.
Will post the other one we did tomorrow.

Bella...

A really quick card this morning..I visited My Mums Craft shop last week and they had  a lovely selection of the  lovely Wild Rose Bella stamps and papers...unfortunately they had sold out of this particular stamp but I liked I so much I bought the pre coloured die cuts....which are also great for really quick cards!  I will buy the stamp when its back in stock.
Backing papers are all from the Bella Paper pack, Spellbinders frame and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Just added a little bit of glitter in the centre of the flowers....
Slowing getting used to my new PC but still cant get used to my tiny keyboard  so you might just get a few  'smelling pistakes' along the way..lOl...lOl...

Have a good day

I am back!....

Hello my blogging friends...we are back having spent two lovely weeks in Yorkshire one of our favourite places....our first week was glorious sunshine and last week although cooler but still sunny was dry apart from one afternoon.  We finished off our holiday by having a silver service evening meal on the North Yorkshire Moors railway and eating in a carriage that dated back to 1910....a wonderful evening which we will certainly do again...
I was very good, no crafty shopping except on line...lOl...lOl...and it was nice to have a crafting break....

Its great to be back in the craft room with all the washing an ironing done so I don't feel guilty!
Todays card is for a birthday next month...the image is a Penny Black one which is coloured with pencils...backing papers are from a  Basic Grey paper pad  called Kioshi.  EK Success Punch used for the water and 3 rolled flowers on the Marianne swirl...

I hope to catch up with you all soon...

Craft Club projects...Embossing folder

One of the projects we are doing on our Craft night is making a Rose using one of the Creative Expressions  embossing folder shown above... then make a complete card using the Rose they have made and also using the folder as a backing paper.  Here are some of my samples:

The two cards above I have inked the embossing folder before running the folder through my embossing machine.
A very simple white and silver card....
For this card I used cor-dinations paper ran it through my Bigshot then sanded it down...used 3 nesties and a sentiment as my focal point.
This was another inked embossed background but this time using a different side of the embossing folder...just added a few pearls and also used one of the 'flowers' for my sentiment.

Tomorrow I will post a couple of cards from the other project we did.

Taking a break........

The heading for this card is quite apt as I going to take a couple of weeks off from blogging and spend some time with my DH.  Its been a busy few weeks with grandchildren etc so now its our time....I shall be quietly colouring in the background and I shall also post pictures of what we are making at our craft club this month.
My card is another of the LOTV cutie images which is coloured with copics and
I've used some crystal effects on the water.
Backing papers are from Echo Park 'its a boys life'..... Martha Stewart border Zig Zag punch used along the bottom and the cogs we made using a Stampin UP cog punch I have.

See you all soon

St Lukes Charity card Challenge...Couples...

Cant believe its September already and that of course means another great challenge from St Lukes Charity card challenge and our challenge for you this month is 'COUPLES'...  This can mean Romantic, just a couple of characters whether human or animal or a mixture but just give us two together.
I've used one of my favourite House Mice stamps for my card and this one is called 'Nose to Nose in the flowers, which is .coloured with copics.
Backing paper is from Stampin Up, Martha Stewart border punch, SU. leaf punch  and a tiny flower punch.
This month we have a fabulous prize kindly donated By Lili of the Valley and these are the two stamps you could win just by posting your card on the blog:

We would love to see your creations...you DONT have to send us your card   it would be lovely if you did as all the proceeds from the sale of cards go to the hospice....
Pop over to St Lukes and see what the other members of the DT have come up with....look forward to seeing your cards
