My Kite....

It always a problem finding different images for little boys cards but spotted this one on Mo Mannings Digital site and just fell in love with it....coloured with Copics, backing papers are from Echo Park A' Boy's life' pad and used my Memory Box puffy clouds die.

I can remember my brother and I having fun years ago with Dad  trying to fly the old 'Box' kite..those were the days when you only had one string to worry about some of todays kites look so complicated with two strings.

Be my Valentine....

Sorry about the awful photo this morning but the light isnt good ...

I picked up a sheet of Tatty Ted embossabilities 'Me to You'  when I last visited our local craft shop as I thought not only could I make a valentines card but also, anniversary and even a get well card from the sweet images...

This image I've made into a Valentines centre step card, the backing papers are from a pack of  'Me to You' with Love which are also double sided.

Baby sitting later this morning so just about enough time to clear my desk before I make another card.

Its raining here at the moment and some of the snow is starting  to melt thank goodness.

Another mauve card.....

Yes another purple/mauve card, again I have used some of the Delicate Asters backing paper and cut out some of the Aster flowers, using the die set I've cut out some leaves and 3D everything...the image on the right hand bottom corner was already printed on the backing paper.
I've used one of the Marianne Creatable dies and cut directly onto the backing paper and the right hand corner has been cut out of card reversing the image.
S.U. oval punches used as well as the sentiment..

Tomorrows card WONT be purple I promise....

I see we could be in for more snow tomorrow hopefully it wont be very much...I will keep my thermals out for a bit longer...hee...hee...

Get well.....

Firstly thank you to all of you for your lovely get well wishes I now seemed to at long last turned the corner....I must feel better as I am back in my craft room!

Needed to make a get well card today so I've used one of my new Heartfelt Creations stamps from the Delicate Twining Asters set ( which is the swirl in the corner)  also stamped one of the small aster stamps from he Delicate Asters  set and then 3D the main flower  and also added a flower  in the corner as my ink pad caught the corner of the card so I needed to cover it up!!!

The backing paper is from the Delicate Asters Collection pad, the embossing folder is from Crafts Too and I have sponged a darker mauve on the top the embossed card. Sentiment is also from the Asters collection pad...Also used is the S.U border ribbon punch along the centre of the card.

Hope you are all keeping warm in this snowy weather...

Another Mask....

I still have my chest infection and have spend the last 2 days back at the doctors as they were very concern about my breathing..they've changed my antibiotics which are making me feel very sick all the time so haven't done any card making for nearly a week...hopefully by the weekend I will feel better.

For some reason Mr Blogger wouldn't let me leave comments on blogs yesterday but he does seem to be behaving himself now!

So I have another of my samples cards to show you using masks, core-dination paper and a sanding block, the image is a really old Penny Black stamp which I have stamped onto kraft card and used Prismacolor pencils. I've used the circle border die from Simon Says and  also a Memory Box die Fremont Crest on the corners....

They are forecast lots of snow for us tomorrow in Somerset but fingers crossed  we dont get too much!!!  Hope you are all keeping warm in the cold weather.

Birthday card....

It was my friend Janet's birthday yesterday and this was the card that I made for her.. Wanted to do something different so I pulled out my box of ORNARE pricking templates.
I completely pricked the whole image then pricked the centre part of the template twice before cutting it out and mounting it onto some holographic card. I then cut out just the centre circle and attached that with a brad so that the middle swung opened to reveal Jan's name.  Added a few flowers and some tiny pearls which unfortunately dont show up that well....

Well the sun is shining today and that makes you feel a whole lot better, hopefully the snow will keep away...

Pots of Love....

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to win some lovely blog candy from Lorraine over at Mrs B's Blog.  My win comprised of two lovely LOTV stamps a beautiful 6 x 6 Designer pad of paper called Summer Breeze which has some gorgeous glittered pages and some lovely Joy daisy dies.

I've coloured one of the images called Pots of Love and used one of the glittered backing papers...not colours I would normally put together but something a bit different. I've also used some small flower punches and a very pretty MFT border die.

I think everyone is keeping fingers crossed that the snow doesn't arrive but it is a very dark and miserable morning down here in Somerset...

Have a great weekend what you are doing..

A very enjoyable afternoon.....

Last week my granddaughter Grace and I had a lovely afternoon card making, for saying she is just 5 she did a brilliant job, in the first two photos she is working on a card for Daddy, she stamped the cars and  coloured them herself and even put her own backing paper on... Nanny helped with the punching!  The last card was Mummy's card and again Grace stamped her own butterflies on the background and then used bits from her very own embellishment box to decorate the card...and to finish off what all little girls like is a touch of glitter.  Bless her she is like a little magpie anything loose on my desk she always asked if she can pop it in her box..bless. Grace cant wait to come back and play, its so nice when we can share out passion with our little ones...

Back later on with more samples from tonight's craft club.

Thank you for all your good wishes and I am feeling so much better now...

Playing with Masks....

Its our club meeting tomorrow night and one of our projects is different techniques using MASKS and stencils.
Embossing folders and Masks are great for creating backgrounds if you don't have the right papers so for this card I have used a Creative Expressions Mask called 'Large Polks Dots.
I've used and old PSX Motorbike stamp and just added a splash of red on the tank, then punched out some Cogs from the S.U. retired cog punch.
Will show you more samples after club night. Not a great photo as the gold doesn't like being scanned or photographed...

I have got a severe chest infection at the moment so haven't felt much like crafting these last few days, the doctor as  given me some antibioctics and high a dose steroids, the steroids have now kicked in and I feel like I could craft all day and all night I am on such a high...lOl...lOl..

Thanks for dropping by...

Origami box....

No card to show you at the moment as I am busy doing samples for our club night and I also have several birthday cards to make this month so thought I would show you something I made in December an Origami Box...

This Origami box has been around several bogs before Christmas so I thought I would like to have a play...I first saw this on Patricia's blog so thank you Patricia...
The box is so easy to make and uses 1 sheet of 12 x 12 paper plus extra for making the lid.  The decoration of the box is entirely up to you, I added a little bit of lace around the edges on the side but its white and doesn't show up very well, I also added some textured card using one of the SU embossing folders. I kept the lid simple by just using some roses and leaved with a Martha Stewart butterfly...
Here is the link  Origami Box have a go its a really lovely project to make.

Welcome to my 2 new followers..
