Foxgloves.......

Not made a card for a few days as I have been doing samples for next months craft meeting.  This card I made a few weeks ago its one from LOTV called Foxgloves.  Coloured with both pencils and Copics.
Backing papers are from LOTV Promises 8 x 8 Paper pad, mounted on to a Spellbinders die and the sentiment is one from Stampin Up.

Its lovely to have it a little bit cooler again and the gardens certainly needed the rain....

Ship Ahoy.....

I always find mens card a problem but this Spellbinders Cogs die makes a brilliant ships wheel and as I already had this Stampin Up image coloured with pencils just popped it on the larger cog die. For the waves I've used a an EK Success border punch, the anchor is from Die-Namics sea charms set, sentiment is from Craftwork cards...

Hope you all have a great weekend...and its lovely to have it a bit cooler...

More Simply Sketched....

By the time you read this we should be on our way home from a little break in the caravan with our youngest granddaughter, her first time away from home.
I've made another card using the Stampin Up Simply Sketched set...
the embossing folder is from S.U. and the papers are again SU but quite old.  I am trying to use up some of my scraps of card and paper  I expect like many of you have have a box full of bits of D.P which I cant bear to throw away!
Butterfly stamps, punches and sentiment also S.U.

Two by Two......

I found this lovely Stampin Up stamp on EBAY a couple of weeks ago I also find it difficult making cards for twins but this little stamp is ideal its called 'Two by Two'

Coloured with Copic then cut out using S.U. Framelets dies and I've pricked around the edge. Backing papers are also S.U.
Embossing folder is an A4 Spellbinders one called 'Dainty Dots', the tiny button I've had for years and the corner dies are and old Quickuz die, sentiment computer generated.

Hopefully its going to be a little bit cooler than yesterday, it was 30 deg here a little bit too hot for me...

Club samples...

It was our craft club meeting last night and our projects were a JOY fold card and   iris folding using paper and ribbon.. My iris folding cards I've lent to a friend so can only show you my JOY card samples at the moment.

My first card was made using Stampin Up Tea Shoppe stamp set and also using scraps of paper as these cards were only small.

This is a printed image off a CD I have called Water Colour Memories and has some wonderful images on it.  The Anchor and ships wheel are dies.
.
Just love this little house mouse stamps...I've used glossy accent on the water and the little leaves are from a die set.  Papers again scraps from S.U

I know I have used this little Penny Black stamp before but just love him.
More scraps of paper used from S.U. the paw prints ribbon I've had for ages...

The weather is still glorious and hope it stays for the weekend as  my Daughter and youngest granddaughter are doing the RACE FOR LIFE in Vivary Park Taunton on Sunday and hopefully I will be able to share some photographs with you on Monday...

Something different....

Well we finally sorted out my computer problem and guess what it was the BATTERY in my PC had gone...PC World were all for stripping my PC down and it was my hubby who said could it be the battery they changed it and hey presto..cost us all of £4.  The battery caused the time and date to be all over the place, it affected my emails (as thats date related) and also my blog..so worth knowing.  In all the years we have had computers its the first time this has happened and my Computer is only 9 MONTHS OLD.....

Back to my card...as I've been busy making samples for club night tomorrow and also doing other things I haven't had time to blog but I found this card a few days ago that I made possibly 5 or 6 years ago....the pattern I think was a freebee from a Parchment exhibition I went to. The image has been drawn and coloured using inks before being embossed from the back. Dorso crayons were used to create the coloured background and of course pricking, cutting and embossing a pattern around the edge.  I haven't done parchment for a very long time now as I much prefer stamping its quicker!

The school holidays are almost here that means we shall be having the grandchildren to stay also other visitors so my blogging with but when I have time....

Its out club night tomorrow so will post some pictures of what we are going to be making later in the week.

Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather..

Back from the 1940's.....

No card to show you today as we have just returned from holiday but thought you might like to see what we sometimes get up to!
As many of you know Andy and I are 1940 re enactors we had a fabulous time last weekend at the Severn Valley Railway 1940's weekend that we attend every year.  We were so lucky with the weather it was so hot on Saturday.  Andy wore his 'spiv' outfit this time and has lots of watches and stockings pinned inside his jacket as well as lots of 'black market' goodies in his suitcase lol lol ....I ended up ditching my 'fur' as it was just too hot....unfortunately my sunglasses are not 1940's  style but my hay fever was really bad so needed to wear them.
We met lots of great people and had such a laugh as usual.  If you love the 1940's and the steam railway its a great weekend ( its also on this weekend) we hop on and off the train visiting different stations where there's something going on at each station,  you can attend a 1940's wedding, lots of stall selling 1940's clothes and bric brac, they have a battle and even Winston Churchill, the King and Monty are all there...plenty live 1940's music on the stations and a great show in the evening held on Kidderminster station ..hope I haven't bored you all.....

Hopefully once I've ploughed through the washing and ironing I'll be back in the craft room.
